In September 2025 together with the Danish Embassy the European Office of the Board of Education for Vienna organized an essay competition, held in the context of the EU Council Presidency.
Participants were invited to write a 500-word essay in English on the topic: “How can Austria and Denmark strengthen their cooperation to advance the green transition?”
With her well-structured, insightful, and eloquently written essay, a student from class 6D at the secondary school of the Theresianum Foundation convinced the jury and prevailed among numerous submissions from across Austria. The award ceremony took place at the House of the European Union, where the Danish Ambassador Christian Grønbech-Jensen personally presented the prize.
On October 25, 2025, our winner had the opportunity to step into the role of ambassador herself, accompanying the Danish ambassador in Vienna and gaining valuable insight into the diplomatic work of the embassy and European cooperation in practice.
