As part of the anniversary year “30 Years of European Educational Projects”, the European Office once again invited school classes to an “EU Brunch” at the Board of Education for Vienna!
In April 2025, five EU brunches took place for around 400 students. Young people from 16 Viennese schools came together to discuss the understanding of democracy among young people in Europe. Particularly exciting were the visits of the 30 invited prominent experts, who were interviewed by our school classes and thus provided first-hand insights into European politics. The brunch offered a great opportunity to actively engage with the topic of democracy and recognize the importance of Europe for one’s own life. The event promoted intergenerational exchange and strengthened awareness of the European community.
For teachers, we offered an exclusive “EU education brunch” on the understanding of democracy in Europe. At a marketplace, they had the opportunity to engage with experts from various institutions and learn about support services.
