In mid-November 2026, a 25-member delegation from Vienna travelled to Berlin to gain insights into the city’s vocational education system as part of our Erasmus+ job shadowing program within the project, enterEurope VET2 “Meaningful Education”. Representatives of the Board of Education for Vienna accompanied school principals, department heads, and teachers from Vienna’s vocational secondary schools. In addition to classroom observations at partner schools in Berlin, the group visited the Senate Department for Education and EPIZ Berlin, where innovative approaches to global learning and sustainable competence development were presented. Company visits provided practical insights and also opened new internship opportunities for students from Vienna. A particular highlight was the Futurium, whose future scenarios offered fresh inspiration for tomorrow’s vocational education. The mobility activity strengthened international cooperation between Berlin and Vienna and provides important impulses for the ongoing development of vocational education.
