From 7 to 10 May 2025, 16 compulsory school teachers from our Erasmus+ project „enterEurope – Diversity“ from Vienna took part in an Erasmus+ training course in Ljubljana on the topic of „Gender-Inclusive and Participatory Learning“. The focus was on new approaches to inclusive and participatory teaching, such as the use of de Bono Thinking Tools like parallel thinking or OPV (Other People’s View), which promote creative and structured thinking in the classroom. At the Osnovna šola Koseze primary school, these methods could be tried out directly and adapted for use in the teachers’ own lessons. The intercultural exchange with teachers from Italy, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovenia also provided an opportunity to make new European contacts and develop innovative project ideas. Other key areas of the training included gender-inclusive science education through storytelling and experiments, as well as opportunities for successful parental involvement based on the motto „It takes a village to raise a child“. The participants took away many practical ideas for their schools in Vienna – a successful example of European educational cooperation within the framework of Erasmus+!
