From 19 to 22 October 2025, the Erasmus+ project „enterEurope – Diversity“ took an educational delegation of 16 committed educators to Barcelona. The focus was on the topic of diversity and the question of how diversity is lived and implemented in the Catalan education system.
Five schools in different districts opened their doors and offered participants valuable insights into teaching, school organisation and innovative learning settings. Through classroom observations, discussions with teachers and school administrators, and direct exchanges with students, it became clear how diverse education can be: from LGBTQIA+ representatives to gender-sensitive learning to targeted support for children with individual needs.
Job shadowing not only allowed participants to look beyond their own horizons, but also enabled intensive exchanges with inclusion officers and social workers, who provided inspiring insights into inclusive school development.
The days in Barcelona impressively demonstrated how diversity in practice, intercultural learning and European cooperation enrich each other – and how they provide new impetus for everyday educational work.
