Our first STEM AFTERWORK event took place on May 11, 2026, in the ceremonial hall of the Board of Education and offered around 50 Viennese teachers exciting insights into the Interreg project eTOM AT-CZ. The event was opened by the Head of the Pedagogical Department, Ulrike Mangl, who thanked all the pilot schools for their commitment and emphasized the importance of promoting STEM subjects in all grades.
Innovative presentations and hands-on workshops demonstrated how international cooperation can enrich STEM education. To make the most of such synergies, products from the Interreg projects eTOM SK-AT and eTOM AT-HU were also presented.
Participants tested digital tools from the extensive collection on-site, learned about 3D printing applications, and received useful STEM goodies such as our new climate posters.
The successful first STEM AFTERWORK event showcased the diversity and quality of educational work and underlined the importance of exchange and networking for innovative STEM teaching.
