“What I liked best was that we did so much together with the Slovakian students – and that we understood each other even without many words,” said one enthusiastic student from a Viennese secondary school.
In October 2025, a group of Viennese students took a day trip to Bratislava to experience a day of learning and exchange on the topic of “Climate & Environmental Education” together with their Slovakian partner class.
This took place within the framework of the Interreg SK-AT project eTOM.
After a warm welcome from the Slovakian students, the two groups continued on to the Čunovo Eco-Center, an innovative environmental education center in Bratislava. There, they explored an interactive exhibition, participated in outdoor activities, and worked together in small Austrian-Slovakian groups. After a picnic outdoors, they embarked on a city rally through Bratislava’s Old Town, where the young people were able to get to know the city in a fun and engaging way.
