With a celebratory closing event on June 8, 2026 our Erasmus+ project “Diversity – Strengthening Diversity” officially came to an end after two successful years. Together with our Director of the Board of Education, Elisabeth Fuchs, we looked back on numerous experiences, encounters, and achievements:
As part of the project, we were able to inspire another 14 Viennese schools to participate in Erasmus+, mobilize more than 100 teachers, and visit 25 schools in five European countries.
Particularly gratifying: Vienna leads the way in Austria with 107 Erasmus+ accreditations in school education, and 10 schools from this project group have now received their own accreditation. This permanent “internationalization ticket” provides them with simplified access to EU funding and planning security for their own mobility activities.
To ensure that our Erasmus+ experience benefits as many Viennese schools as possible, we regularly offer our Erasmus+ application workshop. In this three-part module series, interested schools gain practical insights into the necessary steps for developing their own project and receive inspiration for school and curriculum development using Erasmus+. The most recent workshop recently concluded with 20 newcomer schools.
