During the 2025/26 school year, a total of 265 people from various education authorities visited our schools as part of 19 international delegations. In addition to observing lessons at Viennese schools, we organized expert presentations for our guests and jointly reflected on the different school systems and institutional frameworks. The focus was on current educational policy and pedagogical topics such as democratic education and active citizenship, diversity and inclusion, as well as migration and multilingualism. Innovative approaches to school and classroom organization were also discussed with the Viennese school supervisory authority. Another focus was on school development and quality, and how to foster a sense of well-being within the school community.
This international exchange offered all participants the opportunity to learn from one another, gain new perspectives, and compare and further develop successful approaches from different education systems.
