From November 4 to 5, the Alt Erlaa sports hall was transformed into a vibrant career hub – and we were right in the middle of it with our Interreg AT-HU project DigiUp NEXT!
Over 60 well-known companies and secondary schools from across Austria accepted the invitation from FMS23 and participated in the speed-dating event “Meet Your Future.” Around 300 pupils took advantage of this unique opportunity to talk directly to companies from the fields of IT & technology, crafts, industry, commerce & office work, social work, tourism, and nature. They not only gained exciting insights into various career paths, but they also had the chance to make initial contacts for work experience days or even a future apprenticeship.
The European Office of the Board of Education for Vienna supported the young people with practical tips on career choice and highlighted various entry points into the professional world. Interested pupils can even complete their work experience days directly at the European Office. In addition, the Board of Education offers the opportunity to start an apprenticeship as an administrative assistant – the perfect launch into the future!
Two days full of encounters, inspiration, and new perspectives – career orientation as its best!
