Pay attention when choosing a career: IT vocational training in focus!

The digitalization industry opens up a wide range of career opportunities, excellent future prospects and attractive earning potential for young people who are about to choose a career.
As part of the Interreg AT-HU project DigiUp NEXT, we were able to provide an education delegation from Hungary and Burgenland with exciting insights into the various IT vocational training opportunities in Vienna at the beginning of June 2025. The education experts had the special opportunity to visit the Wiener Stadtwerke apprenticeship campus and discuss specific topics such as apprenticeship training, the promotion of women and innovative approaches to IT career orientation with recruitment and technical specialists on site.
Another highlight was the exclusive guided tour of HTL Donaustadt. There, the Hungarian colleagues were able to get a very clear picture of the HTL’s training concept, which is unique in Europe and combines a sound technical education with a strong practical focus.
