On October 9, 2025, outstanding pre-academic papers (AHS) and diploma theses (BHS) were honored with the “We Are Europe” award at the House of the EU in Vienna. The award is presented by the Representation of the European Commission in Austria, the Liaison Office of the European Parliament, and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research.
We are especially proud that two of the three winning projects came from Vienna!
A student from AHS Heustadelgasse (22nd district) was recognized for his paper on European migration policy, while five students from VBS Schönborngasse (8th district) received an award for their diploma thesis on Austria’s national debt.
The European Office of the Vienna Board of Education was present at the ceremony to personally congratulate the Viennese award winners.
