The school partnerships established in 2024 as part of the Interreg AT-CZ project JOBITY experienced a long-awaited continuation this spring.
The soccer class from the Sports Middle School Hetzendorf met their Czech partner class again in Brno in April 2025. The third-graders from Vienna particularly enjoyed trying out new technologies together in a science adventure world and deepened their friendship with their Czech partner class through a creative play and exploring Brno’s old town.
The secondary school Langobardenstraße was part of another AT-CZ school partnership. After class 3A visited their partner class in the Czech Republic last October, it was their turn to welcome the Czech students to Vienna in May 2025. After a reception at the Viennese school and a group puzzle rally through the city center, the young people spent the second day exploring plastic recycling in the makerspace. Prater businesses then offered exclusive behind-the-scenes insights. Backstage, both the Viennese students and their guests were able to learn more about the relevant professions and required skills – including test drives. Thus, two eventful days came to an end far too quickly, ultimately raising the question: “Can we do this again next school year?”
