How does the freefall tower work? What does it feel like when technology suddenly comes to life? In spring 2025, as part of the Interreg SK-AT project ICE Robotics, the first three Viennese pilot schools – AHS Rainergasse, AHS Erlgasse and AHS Boerhaavegasse – not only experienced turbulent rides together with their partner classes from Bratislava, but also immersed themselves in fascinating future technologies. At the same time, the students made new friends between Vienna and Bratislava across language and national borders. Whether programmable robots, intelligent control systems or automatic motion sequences – the world of robotics became tangible, tangible and really exciting. The students first learned how to program and control robots in interactive workshops – entirely according to their own commands – and then experienced modern technology up close in the Vienna Prater between loops, lever laws and centrifugal forces. In the end, everyone agreed: technology is not only exciting in the classroom, but also in the middle of life. A day full of exciting technology, team spirit and intercultural exchange – the perfect combination of learning and fun!
