In the face of growing school autonomy, school leadership and management are important political topics not only in Germany and Austria but also in many other countries. This has resulted in changing demands on school leaders but at the same time the need for new support mechanisms and training possibilities.
The focus of the project could be summarised as follows: school leadership as a concept for the active creation of educational processes against a backdrop of fairness and education. The main actors are school inspectors in cooperation with school headteachers as well as in-service training institutions, which contribute to the necessary quality management.
