Viennese Teachers Dive into the BOKU River Lab

On June 3, 2025, Viennese teachers had the exclusive opportunity to visit the hydraulic engineering laboratory at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). The visit focused on current research projects related to river regulation as well as upcoming educational programs designed for school groups. As part of the Interreg AT-HU project SUST-DARA, eight selected schools will participate in testing and evaluating the RiverLab’s exhibition concept from a pedagogical perspective in the coming school year.
There has already been particularly intense discussion about how hydraulic engineering topics can be prepared and taught in an exciting and practical way for school lessons!
